Convidamos os nossos membros para uma visita guiada exclusivamente para o nosso círculo aos extraordinários murais das Gares Marítimas de Alcântara, após o restauro de 2026. Concebido por esta figura maior da nossa cultura, este conjunto mural é um dos seus trabalhos mais notáveis, onde a história, o mito, o mar e a memória coletiva se cruzam de forma profundamente original, evocando Lisboa como uma cidade atlântica e aberta ao mundo.

Durante esta experiência íntima, iremos observar os painéis, debater o seu contexto artístico e histórico, e descodificar os seus múltiplos símbolos: o universo marítimo, a literatura popular, a figura do viajante, a memória dos descobrimentos e a modernidade gráfica tão característica de Almada. Mais do que uma visita, será uma aproximação ao pensamento visual de um artista que soube reinventar a arte portuguesa, tornando-a poética e enraizada na cultura do seu tempo.

We invite our members for an exclusive guided visit, tailored for our inner circle, to the extraordinary murals at the Alcântara Maritime Terminal, following the 2026 restoration. Conceived by this towering figure of our culture, this collection of murals stands as one of his most remarkable masterpieces, where history, myth, the sea, and collective memory cross paths in a deeply original way, evoking Lisbon as an Atlantic city open to the world.

During this intimate experience, we will observe the panels, debate their artistic and historical context, and decode their multiple symbols: the maritime universe, popular literature, the figure of the traveler, the memory of the discoveries, and the graphic modernity so characteristic of Almada. More than a mere tour, this will be a close encounter with the visual thinking of an artist who knew how to reinvent Portuguese art, making it simultaneously modern, poetic, and deeply rooted in the culture of his time.
