Who is the LOUNGEVITA team?
Behind the holistic curation and premium experience of the LOUNGEVITA Club is a team that shares a contagious passion for living well. We are a group of experienced professionals from multinational companies, united by more than just our backgrounds and dedication to health. You will find in us a love for nature and a deep appreciation for the arts that nourish the soul. We believe that true longevity is achieved through vitality, knowledge, and, above all, sharing joy with people with whom we connect and build meaningful bonds.
Alexandra Lopes
Founder, CEO

Alexandra is the founder of LOUNGEVITA Club. Her career path demonstrates that executive performance can be intrinsically linked to a life of vitality and purpose. With a background in Pharmaceutical Sciences (University of Lisbon) and an MBA from the Catholic University of Lisbon, Alexandra has dedicated over two decades to executive leadership in top pharmaceutical multinationals, where she solidified her expertise in health science and innovative product management.
Alexandra is a yoga practitioner and has a deep interest in the philosophy of human consciousness. The inspiration for LOUNGEVITA arose from her concern about the current demographic challenge and her personal conviction that longevity with quality of life requires not only cutting-edge medicine, but a truly holistic approach.
Her passion for travel, having lived in São Paulo, Brazil, and visited more than 50 countries, along with outdoor activities and social connection, reinforces the Club’s mission to cultivate a life rich in experiences and relationships.
Miguel Sanches
Medical Curator

Miguel is the guardian of LOUNGEVITA Club’s scientific rigor. His authority is grounded in a career of more than 40 years as a General Practitioner and over three decades in leadership roles within multinational pharmaceutical companies.
His experience in areas such as clinical research, patient safety, risk management, and the rigor of scientific information shared in medical contexts—combined with first-hand knowledge of the challenges he faces daily in his clinical practice—gives him a unique qualification for the role he plays in this project.
At LOUNGEVITA Club, Miguel leads the Health pillar. His role is to ensure that all content is scientifically valid and that, where there is controversy, it is discussed openly and always with scientific rigor. He also seeks to ensure that even the most complex science is translated into clear, accessible language and into strategies applicable to members’ lives. His commitment is to factual truth and excellence in preventive interventions.
Miguel loves meeting new people and draws much of his energy from those interactions. He is a good listener—optimistic, curious, and enjoys solving problems. He is passionate about physical activity (preferably outdoors!), art in its many forms, travel, and gastronomy. His most recent personal challenge is learning to play the bagpipes.
Vanda de Sousa
Well-Being Curator

With a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Lisbon and more than two decades of experience in healthcare and leadership, Vanda has, over the course of her life, integrated science, experience, and inner awareness into her own approach to well-being, body awareness, and mind–body integration.
Her path has been one of seeking and discovery, of change and grounding, of challenge and care, driven by a constant curiosity about how to live with greater presence, clarity, and meaning. A path supported by scientific foundations and research, yet deeply anchored in real-life experience.
Her approach focuses on translating health science and well-being research into practices applicable to everyday life. She is a certified facilitator of Search Inside Yourself (the mindfulness-based emotional intelligence programme developed at Google), holds certification in Conscious Ageing, and is co-founder of The School of We, where she works on regenerating organisational culture through conscious leadership and sustainable well-being.
At LOUNGEVITA Club, Vanda leads the Well-Being pillar, with a curation focused on fostering a more conscious relationship with time, the body, and movement, so that longevity is lived with quality, presence, and meaning.
Alexandra Almeida
Arts & Culture Curator

Alexandra A. brings to the Club a unique combination of analytical rigor and humanistic knowledge. With a degree in Pharmacy and more than a decade of experience in Clinical Research at a multinational pharmaceutical company, she has developed a strong commitment to health.
Driven by her passion for art as a heritage of humanity and a pillar of cultural identity, Alexandra complemented her academic background with a degree in Art History from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon.
Her love for Art and Travel, combined with a constant pursuit of cultural experiences, inspires her curatorial work, focused on the creation of exclusive experiences that foster connections as a source of cognitive, intellectual, and emotional stimulation.
At LOUNGEVITA Club, Alexandra leads the Culture pillar, grounded in evidence on the importance of relationships and purpose in health. Her focus is on using Art as a powerful catalyst for neuroplasticity and emotional health. She ensures that members actively cultivate cultural legacy and the relationships essential for a full longevity.
Beyond her moments of escape through travel to engage in nature-based activities such as diving, skiing, sailing, and trekking in remote locations, Alexandra loves dedicating her time to her family and to her organic garden.
Cátia Almeida
Operations & Community Manager

Cátia is the operational engine and the heart of the LOUNGEVITA Club community. Holding a degree in Marketing and Advertising, with over 17 years of experience as a COO (Chief Operations Officer) in integrated communication — including projects in the pharmaceutical sector — she is responsible for transforming the Club’s vision into a consistent, close, and excellence-driven experience for its members.
She oversees the logistics of all activities, manages digital communication, and supports member onboarding, ensuring the careful delivery of the Club’s three pillars — Health, Well-Being, and Culture — with rigor, personalization, and attention to detail. Her focus is on ensuring that every member feels supported and valued throughout the entire experience.
Her connection to this project also stems from a strong personal dimension. Passionate about walks in nature, the sea, and meaningful conversations, she deeply believes in the impact of emotional balance and contact with the outdoors on quality of life.
An enthusiastic reader, with training in a creative writing course for children’s books, she is inspired by the freedom and depth of children’s imagination. With a keen interest in psychology and in how people think and feel, she maintains a constant curiosity about human development.
Over the years, she has also learned to value hands-on work, continually challenging herself to experiment, learn, and grow — an attitude that reflects the very essence of the LOUNGEVITA Club: living with purpose, curiosity, and well-being at every stage of life.
